Great welcome with coffee, juice for children and lovely home made marble cake. Nice 20 minute trip out to sea and began the fishing. Great instruction and of us including the children caught fish. Then we had a lovely swim in some turquoise sea. Beide sprechen gutes Englisch und die Kommunikation per Mail war schnell und verbindlich. Das Boot liegt in dem malerischen kleinen Hafen von Kalyves und ist schnell und unkompliziert zu finden. Sollten, wie bei uns, nicht alle Mitglieder mit auf die Reise kommen (Kinder dürfen erst ab 8 Jahren auf das Boot), liegt gleich neben dem Hafen ein schöner kinderfreundlicher Strand mit Bars und allem was man für einen schönen Strandtag braucht. Die Fahrt begann mit einer ca. 20 minütigen Fahrt zu Manolis Netz. An Bord bekamen wir Kaffee und leckeren selbstgebackenem Kuchen. Das Netz wurde eingeholt und Jiota erklärte uns die jeweiligen Fische. Es kam einiges zusammen. Danach sind wir an die Mündung der Souda-Bucht gefahren und haben ein bisschen geangelt. Es haben auch ein paar kleinere Fische angebissen. Danach sind wir am bemerkenswert schönen Sosorides beach vor Anker gegangen. Dort haben Jiota und Manolis für uns gekocht. Wir hatten Zeit zu Baden und uns zu unterhalten. Das Essen war perfekt. So muss Fisch schmecken. Würzig gebraten mit einer dünnen Panade. Am Ende wurden es drei Gänge, die wir zu viert trotz Hunger nicht ganz geschafft haben. Dazu ein frischer griechischer Salat Wein aus dem Ort und zuletzt auch noch einen am Vortag gefangenen Thunfisch. Alles auf wenig Platz gekocht. Respekt. Ich habe in Restaurants schon wesentlich schlechter gegessen. Danach ging es zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Wie haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Reise hat sich absolut gelohnt. Manolis nimmt bis zu 8 Gäste mit. Dann wird es aber auch voll auf dem Boot. Wir waren zu viert. War gut.
